Someone wanting more elaborate functionality for project management and notes is not going to find what they want in Todoist. Someone wanting basic task functionality has cheap options (as low as $0). Overall, I think you're missing the bigger point. It has much more functionality than something like Microsoft Todo, Apple reminders, Google tasks, or Evernote tasksĪs a longtime user, I'm not sure I agree, though I'll agree that for some people Todoist is a better fit. The value relative to competitors is simply not there. They'd be in a good position if that were how potential customers made decisions. I still think with the price increase Todoist is a very good value for what you get.
